Major Accounts Operation Manager - Houston, Tx
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Major Accounts Operations Manager will work with the national sales team to develop new business prospects and build solutions to meet clients’ needs, improving Link’s profitability and competitive position in the market. Responsible for meeting service expectations and leading process improvement efforts for Link’s Major Accounts. Identifies, designs, and implements plans for clients and prospects where process redesign can impact efficiency, quality, profitability, and client satisfaction. With strong focus on client relationship and communication, this position will manage the client relationship to ensure client’s expectations and objectives are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages ongoing process improvement plans and efficiency project

- Educating and Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and leadership
- Leading each site location to achieve Link’s profitability goals
- Developing processes to ensure Quality, Compliance, and Safety
- Recruiting, Training, and Developing the “right” staff to get the job
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree (preferred Master’s)
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10 Years of Warehouse/distribution/logistics/supply chain experience (client-facing experience preferred)
- Minimum 10 Years of Management or supervisory role with demonstrated success
- Strong accounting background with P&L ownership experience
- Operational fortitude and exposure
- Process oriented and knows the Operation
- Planning and project management experience with demonstrated results in completed projects
- Experienced in creation of performance metrics, reporting and tracking
- Business or process analysis experience is preferred
- Working knowledge in Six Sigma skills: DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen/Work-out and change management
- Knowledge and experience with distribution operating systems, logistics and forecasting
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to hire, facilitate, and manage cross-functional teams
- Ability to create an open environment supportive of free sharing of information and ideas that is also conducive to contribution, growth and achievement
- Visionary with long term focus - able to see the end result
- Ability to communicate effectively and resolve conflicts at all levels within the company, including executives
- Exemplary standards of integrity, personal work ethic and continuous involvement in self-education and development
TRAVEL:
Travel up to 50% of the time with the ability to start-up and move to next client
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Warehouse and industrial environmental conditions faced with standard climate and working conditions subject to the elements.
